Throughout his career, Félix has developed a remarkable expertise in earthquake-resistant design and in structural dynamic analysis related to the effects of higher modes.
He has applied this expert knowledge in the context of hospital projects such as the new University of Montreal Hospital Centre (UMHC – Phase 1) and the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital, as well as in high-rise commercial buildings such as the TOM building and the De la Montagne Quad. Within Elema, Félix leads the engineering team in structural dynamic analysis, the design of multi-story steel, concrete and wood structures and the seismic rehabilitation of existing buildings. He also specializes in structural glass, pre-stressed concrete and the design of reinforced concrete walls. Félix has a master’s degree in earthquake engineering.
